yeah i don't think a twin disk is really necessary for your car. it would be overkill. hell my SPEC 3 is overkill really in my car. but i was just planning on spraying in the spring.....maybe depending on the "funds"

Alot of people are taking their specs out because of this. I would too. Why would you risk legs and thousands of dollars in damage just because. Basically it can happen anytime anywhere so be careful if you have one. I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone!

dammit i wish idve known that, I dont have the budget for a street twin

reading that thread, one of those guys says his car felt like 'it was going to come apart when he got on it' - I wonder if thats the same thing Im experiencing, cause i get a nasty vibration at 80+ and it doesnt feel like it will tolerate more than 100 mph.

oh by the way, there are a lot of people who get the street twin that dont "need" it. the reason so many people go with the street twin is that it seems to be the only clutch on the market thats worth a damn and drives well.

How long have you had your cluch Joelious?

are you just breakiing it in? If it's vibrating that cannot be good

ive got at least 1500 miles on it and it still chatters like a son of a ***** at anything under 1800 rpm on take offs... it seems like the more i beat on it, the smoother it gets though. im not happy either way, a clutch that doesnt chatter generally grabs better than one that doesnt. this summer im gonna test her out on some brushed cement like hall road and see how she reacts. im so sick and tired of chatter which is why ill probably be going with the street twin next time.

Yeah i can imagine that chatter getting annoying. Hall road would be fun. I'll join you! I love my centerforce. No chatter ever. Never slips, no problems. I'm curious about this street twin though. how much do they run....? do they come with a flywheel...etc.???

that's weird joel. i have like 1500 miles on my car exactly since the clutch went back in. the chattering is pretty much gone all together now. but yeah i have noticed the more i abuse it the smoother it is? weird. but i really like the way my SPEC3 feels now. i hope it lasts me more than 10,000 miles though!!!

yea thats why im saying im gonna take it out to hall road this summer. Im gonna warm em up and then try launching on that brushed cement... if that doesnt smooth it out, nothing will.

on the other hand i might have ruined my clutch at break in now that i think about it... when i was at the woodward dream cruise i got it HOT, and it only had about 400 miles on it at the time.
