  • Installed Aluminum Driveshaft?

Last weekend I installed the new LS1 Aluminum Drive shaft, with some very aggressive finessing with the rubber mallet.

The problem that i have is, ever since i installed the new driveshaft it appears that every time i have my car in gear, clutch out, and i floor the gas pedal. The transmission seems to rise up and go back down when i lift my foot off the gas.

Is this normal or is this a sign that my transmission bushings need to be replaced?

yea sounds like your trans mount might need to be tightened down or something. Usually when the trans is moving like that it is the mount and not the driveshaft

Guess i will start looking for that V8 crossmember then so that i can put those new poly bushing on.

Seems to never end with cars. I put some dye in my A/C to find a leak and found out that my compressor needs to be replaced. It's slinging the dye all around my engine bay.

well check all the bolts and everything first, something could be just loose. As for the cross member, look for an lt1 one also, not the ls1 as you have the lt1 body style
