Whats involved in swapping a 4l60e

Im concidering getting a performabuilt trans for my car, and I was just wondering if I would be able to swap it out in my driveway. I know I can do it, I just never have done it before and am curious on what all is involved.

I actually just did this 2 weeks ago and have had my trans out 3 times already this summer. This is something you can do in your driveway with 4 jackstands and a hydraulic floor jack. You will also need a friend or two to help. its quite easy and not much to it. the hardest part is the stock flywheel bolts which are a b*#@h. they are torx bit bolts and like to strip out. use a good torx socket and maybe some pb blaster and maybe even some heat. theres only 3 but they will be the hardest part. you also need about 2 ft of extensions for the top bellhousing bolts. you can reread my posting on the whole ordeal here.

good choice on the performabuilt trans. hopefully you are getting one of their stall converters also, i made the mistake and didnt, so ill have to pull mine again this winter to put a bigger stall in mine. im very happy with the trans, finally after all the hassle i went through with the first two i tried to have rebuilt.
