  • Shifter Jerking

I noticed the other day that sometimes when I accelerate quickly during my 1-2 shift my shifter jerks back a little. It just started to do this, I doubt that I wouldn't have noticed it before. Also, it doesn't do it under light acceleration.

I was thinking possibly bad motor or tranny mount, since there is no mechanical noise associated with the jerking.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

at 100k miles i would guess the trans mount is worn out. you can get a new one from your dealer for about $35 (thats what i paid for an LS1 mount 2 yrs ago). or you can swith to a poly mount. I would just do the stock replacement myself.

OK, I got a replacement trans mount and tomorrow morning I am going to go into work early to use the hoist. Any thing I should look for, or any tips/tricks for replacing this?
