Which amp for now?

today i picked up a 12" DV Rockford Fosgate P3 sub (500 watts RMS and 1000 watts max). I have two amps i could use, just need to figure out which is the better amp for now until i get something better and how to wire it. The first amp is a Majestic MA5500VM. Dont have much info on it except its a bridgeable 500 watt amp, but not sure how stable @ 2 ohms. The second not being much better is a 300 watt, bridgeable, Directed Xtreme amp. It states that it is stable at 75 x 2 @ 2 ohms and only 50 x 2 @ 4 ohms. My guess would be the 500 watt bridged wired into an 8 ohm load???? or should i wire it straight up, one channel per voice coil? thanks for any help.

the directed is a much better amp (the majestic will never hit 500 watts unless hit by lightning) but is way underpowered for that sub. I worry the majestic is too, and you'll kill the sub trying to get it to play loud enough

ok thanks, but one more question. the sub says it requires .75 cubes of airspace. my box is 1 cube and sealed. how much of a difference will that make if any? thanks for the help.

if you want a cheap temp amp go with boss or bazooka. I prefer soundstream amps over alpine (alpine is overrated really) rf has great amps also (they pretty much invented them so everyone is using their basic design)
