Yeah..there's a huge hole with a rubber plug on the passenger side firewall just below the PCM. I ran the wire for my fan switch and line lock through there. It must be a 3 or 4" hole. PLENTY for any gauge wire you'll be running.

I don't think you are not pushing enough power with that setup to need a higher output alternator. Do the big 3 ground wire upgrade and you will be fine for power. Maybe later if your lights are flickering to much you can add a capacitorOriginally posted by gtpson99
At this point I do not have any type of amp capasitor installed.
What is the maximum amount of amp wattage can be installed before a higher cappasity alternator must be installed?
What are the dimensions of the two amps? What box and subs are you using?
What length are the power wires for the amp wiring kit? For my brothers setup we went with some wire from a local sound shop that they had on a spool so we had plenty to get to the back of the hatch.------------------------------------------

the rubber grommet in the firewall? Remove your PCM on the passenger side fender area in the engine bay and it is right behind it, hard to miss.Originally posted by Last ChanceIs there any way you could point out where it is? I feel dumb asking this. hah.------------------------------------------

I'm running one 1500 watt amp, and my lights only dim when my sub hit's numerous low notes right in a row. If you do the big 3 upgrade and your lights still dim, look at either getting a battery or a different alternator. I know several audio shops sell mini, 16 volt batteries that are designed just for audio system draw. caps in my opinion are a waste, besides with a battery or an alternator i can gaurantee that your amps run at around 16 volts, instead of the normal 12 or 14, and this in turn means more power from your amps. Well good luck.sigpic

big 3 is swapping out your ground cables in the engine bay for thicker cables. Like alternator wire, and such------------------------------------------

if aftermarket there should be RCA jacks in the back of it. For my car I went with the stock radio and so I had to get a RCA line output converter and splice into the back speakers to get my feed from, then the converter switched the signal over to the RCAs
And David, you probably could go with just the normal rack for your application. The amps are smaller in size. Here is a pic of one a made for another guy that had two amps:Attached FilesLast edited by 97rs4life; March 13th, 2007, 04:06 PM.------------------------------------------
