i want to keep me rear seat. I don't know why because nobody sits there i just want to keep them. it apperas as if i will just have to pay the 300 for a box. That is such a big jump considering the last two boxes i had for dual 10's cost 25 bucks.

With a hatchback you don't need to go crazy with a system. I recommend a "Stealth" style setup as it saves weight and still allows rear storage. Which you will need if you ever decide to take on a long road trip such as the HotRod Power Tour.

Mine "bumps" plenty hard to be annoying after a while with just a 10" sub. Just don't skimp and buy a $60 sub but rather one that you can push hard and is DESIGNED to fit in a very small box. The right sub can be impressive with only .5 cu. ft. of box space. Plus if you reeeeeeeealy must have more bass you can get a box for a 12" sub or add a passenger side stealth box. Then you can have 2 subs and still store T-Tops in the summer.

Typically a stealth box must be a sealed design as the box space is usually too small for a ported setup, so be sure to feed the sub with plenty of power and you should be happy.

Here are a few shots of my sub and amp (amp powers just the sub) ......... T-Tops slide right in and since I skipped the amp rack my amp has a ton of room between the amp and the tops for storage, i.e. jackets, folding chairs, showboard, etc.

Im sure you can find a box cheaper than that. If you live near the Gibraltar Trade Center, there is a that makes boxes for a good deal. Here is my current box and the new box that i will have built.

i do gotta tell my cousin about the way the speakers are located in the side so as to keep the t-top place. he had a special set up done but not to what he really would like.
