I was just wondering what do you guys that have systems do for sub boxes. I am going to redew my system again and this time i want to do what i want so i do not have to redew it agin in a month. the problem is i want to be able to keep my t-topps with me in the summer time but the only box i ahve been able to find is the box from sub thump and it is like 350. it is nice but I don't want to spen 350 for a boz. Anyway I was just wondering what you guys have done and possibly get some pictures and suggestions

What size subs are you looking to run? Single or dual? You can get the Stealthbox or MTX enclosure that fits in the driver side hole. I'll have to find the link at home but there is a company that makes a dual 10" box I believe that you can still store your T tops in. There's another one that flips up so you can still use the storage well to put stuff or keep your T's in when they're out. Stereo is on the list of things I hope to upgrade this year in my car. Going to do a single 10" stealthbox.

Hey man i know what you mean, every place i went they wanted around 200-300 for a box, since you have t-tops what i would suggest is just to measure from the top of your trunk down to the t-tops to see what kind of room you have. I know that you were planning on running 2- 12's so if your gonna run 12's your probally gonna need some good air space for each sub. I would say either custom fab up your own box outa fiberglass to maximize volume, or to bite the bullet and pay the money.

if you want it to sound good get the specs from the subs you will run, and build a proper box, if you want it to play buy a prefab pos (every sub made needs a slightly different box so no prefab one will sound good with all speakers and few sound good with any). The reason a custom box is so expensive is it takes time and work to do it right (not to mention the proper wood isn't exactly cheap anymore)

I always thought it would be cool for people that don't want a rear seat, to remove the rear seats and build up a custom fiberglass sub enclosure/amp rack and make it all nice looking.

GETGONE, there is a guy on the termlab audio forum that has i think two 18's in a custom molded box that takes the place of the back seat, but it's also a DB Competition vehicle. I would like to see someone do a custom fiberglass nitrous oxide tank setup. I've seen some at shows where they position the bottle in a fiberglass holder that looks sweet.

Im building my own, copying from a stealthbox/mtx that fits in the corner, carpeted to match and all. that stuff can also get heavy, fast. One good 10 and some good door speakers sound just as good or better then most with two 12s. just my opinion.

I've built ALL my systems with a single 10" sub and Door/dash speakers. I even took 2nd place in a sound competition with it and was going up against some shop built systems! I need to research the boxes a bit more before I decide which one to go with, but I'm doing the stealth box style. If I knew crap about fiberglass I'd do up my own, then paint match to the exterior.

Fiberglass is not hard to work with you just gotta take your time and plan everything out. Most speakers boxes are made with stretched out fleece which is stable to the base of the box, this way you can make sure you like the shape your going to form. The only thing about using fiberglass is that i've heard that the sound quality is not as good as a box made out of MDF

Take out the backseat and build your own custom box. . . I've seen some badass boxes made for F-Bodies with the rear seats removed. . .
