you should be ok, you may have cooked a fuse. I've seen some worse things and not fried an amp

A little bit of spark jump is normal, its just the voltage difference between the +12 VDC power wire and the unpowered amp causing it to arc. Next time I suggest connecting all your sub/amp wires first, then applying power Via the fuse block under the hood ( Assuming you have one, which you should if you dont) Its possible you busted a fuse but just to make sure, you did turn up the sub output on the radio right?The Chevy Camaro was built with a single purpose in mind which it executes flawlessly...Going very very fast in a straight line until your hair catches on fire.

yea I turned up the subwoofer setting on the cd player..amp under the hood is brand new bought it yesterday and isnt blown...
