Ideas on where to put my Stratus 6?

In the camaro I have the mount stuck to the kick panel to the right of my right knee using double sided tape, but it comes undone all the time and drives me nuts. Any other ideas aside from screwing it into the panel (which I wont do).

    Secondly, 2004 Dodge Intrepid.

Heres what ive got to work with.....

    Radio

Not my car, but thats the same interior layout.

Where the heck do I put this thing in here? My only thought was mount high on the windshield to the left of the rear view mirror, but still very undecided.

Any ideas AV pros? i want both installs to look factory as possible. I can live with the camaros current location, as long as I can get it to stay put.

Not sure if they make them any more, but you used to be able to buy some pretty cool brackets that attach to an existing screw behind the radio trim and fits between the panels. They made them for a lot of cars. I even made one myself many moons ago, so maybe something to consider for this.

    Something like this:

That's exactly the bracket I bought for my Trailblazer.

Have you checked any Intrepid websites? Can't be inventing the wheel, someone's already done it somewhere.

I have always gone with aftermarket stereos and just bought the add-on kit for satellite radio. In my '93 Formula, I just have a small receiver like that mounted on top of the dash, but it's not very "factory" looking. I actually don't have Sirius/XM in either of my cars anymore, cancelled the subscription in the '93, I just use my iPhone and stream internet radio through Pandora via bluetooth.

I agree with Brian though, either check out the Intrepid-specific sites, or google search for images to get some ideas.
