  • Need Some Help With My Security System

    Hello everyone,

    I need some help bad.

I have been trying to find the best place to mount my battery backup siren for my new Scytek/Asianwolf security system.

I just cant find the perfect place for it. If you have any suggestions please post them. And if you have some pics that would be appreciated as well.

    Thank You in advance.

you want to make it hard to get to, but easy to hear, if you can see it with the hood open you wasted your time and money installing it since 10 seconds and it's gone. in the front bumper is a good place, the cowl vent works well too

            Thanks Steve,

that is true i don't want a crook to just be able to chuck it.

If i mount it in my fender or cowl i may need to switch to a siren without a battery backup since i do not want to have to take my lower fender cover or cowl cover off everytime i need to use the key to shut it off.

Does anyone have a battery backup siren?
If so when the siren goes off do you have to use the key everytime to shut it off or will it shut off automaticaly when the alarm is shut off?

Thanks for your help everyone. I found out that my siren with battery backup does shut off when i disarm the alarm. So in view of that i ended up mounting it in my fender so someone would have to remove the lower fender cover to get to it. By that time my alarm would already be set off and he would be getting a loud screach in his ear.

I also mounted a hidden siren that does not have battery backup in the cabin of the car so if they get in they would be fighting the pain from that.

Once again, thanks for all the help.

Ben, if you had one of those, I think you'd want a gun turret mounted to the back of your apartment too. . . lol

I always like to do a pain inducing one in the dash somewhere, but most states have outlawed them

I hope Michigan isn't one of them. Otherwise, I never knew it was there. Wasn't me.

I want them to thier pants when they try to steal my Firebird.
