And if you have it done, make sure they use wiring adapters and don't chop up your factory harness.....Originally posted by farmington View Postwait till mickey shorr has free install on speakers. Happens every month or so.
I've had to do so many repair jobs by *Professional Stereo Shops* it's pathetic.
It depends on if you have the Monsoon amp or not and what you want to do with it.
Personally, I'd upgrade the head unit, cross over the existing speakers at 125hz, Round out the bottom end with a sub/subs.
If all you have is $300, and you aren't incorporating an amp, I would go with either Infinity's, Pioneer Premiers, or Clarion speakers.
Gotta watch the ohms load though. Infinity's are famous for 2 ohm coils, but are very efficient.
What head unit are you using?

I have a 95 with the Bose system currently running an aftermarket Pioneer headunit and the sound isn't that great because the head unit amps the signal then the amp, amps it again so its not that great louder how can I keep the stock amp and fix this?Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. If the amp has low level inputs you can use them (Which I doubt it has). I know that JL Audio made a module that was supposed to clean up high level outputs, but not sure how good it is. Either way, if the Bose is anything like the Monsoon - you'd be buying something but have the same quality sound when you were done.Originally posted by Fox Slaughter View PostI have a 95 with the Bose system currently running an aftermarket Pioneer headunit and the sound isn't that great because the head unit amps the signal then the amp, amps it again so its not that great louder how can I keep the stock amp and fix this?
Is the Bose really worth keeping? I would imagine your better off going right from the head unit to the speakers, cross them over appropriately etc.
I know my Monsoon is a turd, and future plans are to put it in ziplock bags and on the shelf it goes.
