I decided to fix the rattle in the pass. side door yesterday so i removed the panel and the speaker to find a huge mess of funky wiring. some one had butchered the factory speaker wiring. I was kinda surprised to find a Bose amp mounted to the side of the speaker housing. Is this the monsoon system or did someone try to install one after the fact in my car? They tried to by-pass the amp so the whole thing is a mess. Looks like its time to start over on the entire system. guess its time to find a new head unit since i have know idea how to use the kenwood that in it.

I thought the Bose system was optional only in the 93-95 cars. The Monsoon system has the amp in the back behind the spare tire. Not sure what you've got going on there.
BTW..you'll have to see Ricks car since we got the ground effects and stripes put on it yesterday. There's a small pic in the Street Wars thread. -
Our 1996 SS has a Delco-Bose Gold system from the factory. BTW, I think it sounds much better than the Monsoon system in the 2002.
