  • Re-wiring?

I was wondering if you completely re-wire or new wire what ever it is called to your audio system..would it sound any better then before?

maybe, depends on the wire your using now and if ti's in good shape, and hooked up correctly. There is a lot of debate about wire but the fact is unless it's corroded wire is wire, better wire lasts longer (especially in a car) you also want a certain size, but monster cable is no better than radio shack (actually the radio shack is better built in my opinion)

i didnt notice any difference by rewiring my system. I noticed the biggest difference by rewiring my engine wires...i changed all the grounds over to 2 guage wire, and all the positive leads and all. Replacd all the battery connections with gold plated terminals. My voltage went from 12.1 to 14.3 (shows when i tune my car and also showed on dyno). My lights are brighter, my windows dont loose power halfway up, my subs hit harder and my sound is much clearer. I wish i would have done this a long time ago. Since i have been down in Arizona i have done it on about 8 or 9 cars (LS1's, LT1's, TPI's) with noticeable results. I will be back in michigan on the 17th so if anyone wants to check mine out or i can do yours for you. Also helps your alternators life span out...email me riceswimmer@aol.com if ya wanna set something up

yea i replaced all the grounds...2 engine grounds, body grounds, alternator power, fuse block power, and a few others i cant think of off hand....factory grounding wires and such are like a 10 guage and are exposed wires...trust me the everyday weather and winter has done its toll....

the straps work better than wire usually (I use a 0 gauge strap from battery to body)
