1/2" MDF under carpet. Mark Holes where Cargo clamps screw into body.
Drill holes where cargo clamp bolts will go through the MDF.
Lay carpet back over. Secure cargo clamp bolts through carpet, board into body. - Board is secure.
Screw your amp down through the carpet into the wood. - amp is secure.
Amp to wide or long and hits cargo clamps? Make 1/2" dowel spacers to elevate the amp.

              Here's my Old install.

My amp is mounted up there on the hump and I don't like it. My hatch isn't tinted, might as well put a steal me note on my window. It's just a crappy Dual amp though. I do plan on moving it asap when I get it back though.
