Radio antenas are tunes to the frequency bandwith, you will get some reception but not optimum reception.sigpic

If your not wanting the Giant antenna there is a smaller window one they make, when I had my CB in my camaro this worked great.

just attached to the window glass and ran the cable up, really simple. not to noticable. you can adjust how it is angled as well
can't even tell it's there with the right angle

as for a mounting place this is where mine was

hope some of these help

behind one of the truck stops in sioux city they have a CB shop that is where I got mine, also you could probably find it at any big truck stop. As for running the wire I had my car apart enough that it was pretty simple for me. I believe I went through the back of the headliner leaving enough slack for the hatch to be completely open (not 100% sure about that) but i know it went down the sail panel to the floor, under the carpet on the passenger side, all the way to the front with cable to spare. It was a HUGE length of cable but it worked great. Cable came with the antenna and only cost me about 15.00 i think or 30.00 (keep in mind this was 2.5 to 3 years ago) I will think on it more although i am pretty sure that was how i did it. Worked great. Obviously removed the CD holder box thing under the radio to fit it in there. worked great.
also, this is where I had my uh....what's it called....mic? the actual talkin part? i feel like an idiot, but I had it mounted on the side of the radio and did not interfear with the glovebox at all

I looked into this, I used to be real big into CBs but slowly got out of it. Look around on other car websites you'd be suprised what you will find. There is a FJ site where The guy had a magnetic antenna inside of the cab. Maybe you could hide something in your bumper but it won't get the best reception. It has to have a tuneable tip which car radios don't have

just have an l bracket made that comes out of the back of the car to bolt to. frame out antenna then you just run 18 ft coax to set the tune right, thats how i seen it done in AZ on a 3rd gensigpic
