How do you have the PC hooked to the screen? do you have some sort of an adapter or something?

The screen is a regular VGA monitor.

Also to answer your question you had in the shoutbox (sorry, I had left work at 2:30pm) - the carPC's audio out goes into the Aux-Input into the head unit, which then powers the speakers. I do have the radio set to a certain volume but the main volume control is done via changing the carPC's volume.

Thanks Brian, I'm going to look into seeing if I can get this laptop I have laying around to work for one. Just need to figure out how to power it.

You could always go the pretty low tech way and use a power inveter with a regular laptop power supply.

I was thinking of that, but afraid it would drain the battery.

Hook the inverter up to a switched source that only has power when the car is on.

There is a power sequencer that will sequence pc up and down with ignition power.

That would be great so that I didn't have to worry about turning it on and off.

Yeah it sequences up when starting car, and sequences PC off when ignition shut off. We put a kill switch on the sequencer so if your just starting and running few min you don't have to wait for PC to sequence up and down also kills power draw when not using car regularly.

Is it a special part or just a normal part that can be gotten anywhere?
