  • head unit problems

I installed my Kenwood cd/mp3 player in my 95 Blazer today. After getting it all in and such I get "Protect" on the screen and I can't do anything. I've tried pushing the reset button and even disconnecting the battery for a few mins. I emailed Kenwood but still waiting for a response. Thanks in advance.

I've had this cd player for about 3 years. This if the 4th car I've put it in. I'm wondering if it's a harness issue since I wasn't to sure about a couple wires last night.

im battling the same problem. It happens when it grounds out, so make sure that all your wires are secured. i had a speaker wire in my door that was making contact with the metal skin and shorted it making it go into protect.
