Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Well made a decision and got a great deal on some new component sets. I decided on RE 6.5" component sets, I bought 2 sets anyways did a quick test to see how they sound and they are so much clearer than stock. I can't wait to get them installed. In the next week or so i'm going to buy an amp to run them off of but for now they will be run off the head unit. Well onto the pics.....

Alpine cda-9851, 2- RE 6.5" component sets, 1 RE sx15" subwoofer, 1 Alpine MRV 1005d amplifier, Knuconcpets rca's, Memphis audio wiring, and 100 sq ft of FAT MAT extreme... got for 147 db at the windshield before fat mat new numbers soon to come.
Very nice, i'd like to ditch my stock set-up one of these days soon. Make sure you let us know what the qualities like once you have the full system set up. BTW, i think i might of seen you car the other day in the parking lot at 75 and 46???
Bad_Z28 I will definately let you guys know how it sounds. I test fitted a set today and the fit perfectly in the doors and in the sail pannels. The woofer has a top mount depth of 2.9" and has a response of 91db's which is great. The reason i went with RE is first of all i have the RE SX 15" sub and it is amaizing, secondly i got a better deal on these than i could get on Alpine Type R components. I just gotta make some mounting rings since the speaker holes don't line up so that will be easy. Then i might be looking at a new cd player, I got an alpine unit but i don't like it, not enought adjustability through out the range. If it was in the delphi parking lot than yup it was me. I work at delphi as a Mechanical Engineer in the Rack Electrical power Steering group.
Joeliusz28 I paid 110 a set shipped and bought two sets. I was looking into their XXX series components but the woofer is a little over 5 inches in top mount depth, which the guy at RE said they only fit in some trucks and custom fiberglass setups. If you really interested in them i will give you the ebay seller name.

The Ebay member was AudioSavings..... he sells other brands and his shipping was crazy fast the day after i paid for it he shipped it and had a tracking number for me.
SoulTerror- i had never heard of them either till about a couple years ago when they were smaller yet and were known to put out subs that performed like crazy for half the price of compairable subs. Now they are partially owned by US amps and some of their prices went up. I was looking at a RE XXX 15 at one time for about 400 but now they sell for about 1000. But this sub would make a W7 cry for it's mama. They are still emerging and no one around here sells them but they are very high quality and great construction.

sorry man, i'm in saginaw 4 days a week but i'm usually out of school by 11:30. When are you up around saginaw?
Anyways got my other set of components today and put all four in tonight. They sound freaking great. The highs and mids are much clearer and makes everything sound great and the best part is everything fit into stock locations besides the tweeters.

Wow, small world! Cobalt Camaro I see your car everyday! I work at Delphi and I'm over in the divisional offices in the power steering - hose group. I've seen your car out in the parking lot almost everyday and can't get over how good that color looks with the chrome wheels!
