Sub Placement

Well, I'm getting closer and closer to actually putting my subs in my box and into my car. I got the box/subs for Christmas, and have just looked at both.

Anyways, I'm trying to decide which way I should mount the subs.

By that way, I mean, how the letters will read.

Should I have them right side up, when viewing from inside the car,

or should they be right side up when looking from the back (this seems most common, and I like it more).

Opinions!

They're JL Audio 12" Subs. I don't know what the price was.

Chances are you cant read them from the car... Mount them so there readable from the outside in back.

Okay, that's what I thought - and like better.

That's what I've seen in pretty much every picture I looked at online.

Well you or a passenger cant see into the hatch... So it doesn't matter for you then are you planning on having anyone in the back seat?... and if so is it going to matter if they can read it or not? I mean if there bumping they cant read it anyway but then you open the hatch and there facing the other way they look kinda dumb.

Yeah, that's what I figure. My MTX is backwards, since I kinda wedges the box into a semi-good position, and it looks dumb.

Umm put them so when you open the hatch you can read them lol. That would be kinda stupid if you put them facing the other way lol

Well, I figured it would want to read correctly when viewed from the hatch.

Damn, I wanna get these subs in there. My dad wants to as well. Hell, I got home, and he already got the wire all situated inside the box. Ahh. 14 gauge.

have them so when u open the rear hatch...you can read them.

put them totally random like one forwards and one back or one facing left the other right. haha

Well, my dad decided that we'd get this sub box/subs out of the living room and into my car. Since he used to do this for a living, he did pretty much everything for me. I know how to do it, but I just let him - he'd do a much better job.

Yeah - it sounds incredible. My MTX was a nice little sub, but tended to become muddled in certain situations. These subs are INCREDIBLY clear and crisp. They sound great, and they have a nice kick...Plus they look better - especially considering they're in a box made for an f-body, not a generic box wedged into the space.
