Very funny. I try not to think of myself as an "incompetent moron," but in situations such as this, I find it to absolutely unavoidable lol

Another Update: I am buying the stereo mentioned on the first page of this thread from MattODoom, and I need more suggestions for audio/video mods. I want to make my own laptop stand for the car, but I don't know what materials to use or where to mount it. I can't mount it too high, we all know why lol, and I can't mount it too close to the driver's seat, because my car is a manual, so I have to be able to reach the shifter without having to reach around anything. Thanks for your help so far, and I hope to get this project completed soon. I am trying to do this and polish and paint my wheels simultaneously, so forgive me if I don't respond promptly. lol

well i remember the one time i went out to CJ barrymores last summer (brian was there.... i don't think any other MI f-body people were there? mostly just the SLP peeps..) anyways... there was some guy that rolled up in a silver LS1 camaro looked like a pro-stock car.... huge mickeys in the rear...moser 12 bolt his license plate was [700plus] or something like that...he had a huge duel stage NOS system. anyways i remember he had a laptop stand for doing his "tuning on the fly" or something... but it was almost like one of those "snake pipes" that was kinda bendable from what i remember with a holder on the top for the comp.
anyways... maybe brian would have some pics, or remember the car and his setup a little more??? (it was the time dave, jill, pete, brian and I were there till really late. we pretty much closed down the show lol)1998 Camaro SS Bullseye Turbo

Also, does anyone know of a tuning/obdI scanning tool that would directly connect my laptop to the car via USB? I don't have a serial port. .
Thanks, Matt. I'll ask Brian about it next time I'm in Chat.

I remember that car cause we all thought there was no way he actually had 700hp lol. I never noticed his interior, though, unfortunately. Most of the tuning cables that I've seen have a serial connector on them. You'd probably have to look into a serial to USB adapter.- Brian Meissen

I looked up this item on EBay, and i can get one for about $10-$15. A laptop stand for my car will run me about $30.Nick H.
