Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

Anything that's 2way pager is nice. I have that on my car now. It says 1/4th mile range, and when you're in a building it's definitely a lot shorter but it still works pretty damn good. At my house, it atleast does work anywhere in my house to alarm me if someone effs with my car.
You need to check out the Revelco system that EMCC Randy is selling before you make any decision.
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

James,
Alarms are good to keep the "honest people honest", think about the last time you heard an alarm going off, what did you do....run to see what was going on? or think to yourself " shut that thing off".
The Pro will disarm the alarm in less time than it takes to open the door!
The Ravelco anti-theft device has no bells, whistles, horns. It is an advanced .....I use this next term loosely...kill switch. It has not been defeated in 30 years, can anyone else make that claim???
Do you want peace of mind when you park your car???
Let me know, and if anyone has questions about the Ravelco anti-theft device please ask!

Basically it takes random wires that are used to start/run the car and puts them into a keyed jumpered plug that you remove to disable the car. The wires going in and out of it aren't color coded so you can't just cut and splice the wires back together to bypass it. I believe Randy also said the wires are incased in a steel sheath to keep someone from cutting into them. From what I understand no two system's plugs are keyed the same.

Hey Randy, not to jack James' thread, but can you combine the Ravelco with a standard 2-way alarm? Reason I ask is the Ravelco obviously stops people from hotwiring and stealing the car, but what stops the guy who smashes the window and starts tearing stuff out of the car?

YES, you can combine with an audible alarm, not a problem. What you loose is if you have a remote start, with the plug pulled it won't start.
We use 2 systems to wire into, the unit is encased in steel conduit that goes through the firewall out into the engine compartment. At that point it is put into the cars wiring harness and run to the circuits we use. IF they find any of the wires(time is ticking on them) ALL the wires are black and there is 5 of them, so what do they cut and jump??
Over 100,000 plug combos and you get 2 to start with.

I currently have a alpine alarm on mine but am seriously thinking about having Randy put a ravelco on it this winter. Had i known about ravelco before I would have put it on rather than the alpine.
