does any one know how to wire the midrange speakers

i have a after market head unit.i installed everything properly however the two speakers in the walls by my head do not work is there a trick to wiring these speakers ? do i have to splice the wires and connect them to the two rear hatch speakers?

stupid question but did they work prior to installing the new radio?

well it did have the monsoon system . but i think they wont work unless i wire them to the hatch speakers since im using a after market radio

Have you bypassed the Monsoon amp or are you just replacing the speakers? The rear speakers are dual voice coil subs and only have the low frequencies directed to them. You won't get full range sound from them even if you tap into the rear hatch speakers because those are crossed over for the high frequencies. If you want full range sound, you'll need to run new speaker wire from them to the head unit. I put a JVC in my V6 with the Monsoon and it actually sounds real good still using the Monsoon amp setup. It sounds way better than my SS ever has, and that has the full stock Monsoon setup.

I split the hatch speaker wire and ran wire to the backseat speakers (pioneers)...

It sounds just fine to me, infact i might disconnect the hatch factory speakers because they are starting to crackle
