wet-sanding?

WHAT KIND OF PAINT, BC/CC RIGHT.. how long has it been since its been paited.. if its bc/cc how many coats of clear coat is on her, and has it ever been done before,, You have to be very carfull on doing this, you can rub through when you dont now how thick the paint is....

not sure on how old the paint is - was told by a painter that looked at it, that it was laquer and pretty thick/deep. he recommended the wet sanding.

why do you want wet sanding done? do you have a decent ammount of orange peel?

i have some not a ton - i recently clay bar'ed the car and it looks better

i guess mainly i was looking for someone that does it professionally to look at it and give me their opinion

you should invest in this tool they make that can measure the thickness of clearcoat.. ive seen some detailers using it on www.autopia.org .. you just put it on the panel and it reads the thickness

well i would have to look at her for sure, and see, i do lots of auto body and paint repair, with wet sanding and buffing and polishing, depending on what the customer wants..
