  • hood emblems ... suggestions?

as some of you know I broke one of my chrome SLP badges on the sides of my SS scoop. I was going to just replace it, but then I thought I might like something else there better anyway. My car is kind of "SLP'd out" right now with the banner, plate frame, and badges on the hood.

I would rather have some 350 or LT1 badges, however I havent really seen anything I like. I like retro badging, but I have decided not do that on this car, rather keep it true to its era. The LT1 badges I have seen around are in a really funky font I do not like at all. Chrome looks good there, and the SLP badges actually look great. I just wish they said something else. Ideally Id like a chrome LT1 or 350 (possibly both) badge in the same font as the "Z28" on the quarter panel.

One idea I had was getting a pair of the 5.7 badges from an LS1 GTO but then again Im not sure they would look right either.

Suggestions? here is what the SLP badges look(ed) like.

as you can see Jon has one on the back of his car as well.

I honestly think the SLP logo looked great up there. an LT1 or 350 badge would be cool if you can find it in the SLP style.

It looks like they have/will have soon, a chrome LT1 emblem that might fit your needs.

Not sure what you are willing to spend but here is an interesting emblem. It is definitely different.

I forgot to mention, try these emblems found on Ebay. They have the 5.7 LT1 cutout.
