  • Taking shifter ball off?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I got a new shifter ball and need to take the old one off. I thought I would just turn it off, but the whole shifter starts to turn also. Do I just have to force it, or am I doing something completely wrong?

    Thanks

Force it. It probably has some locktite on it so it won't come loose.

      Manual or Automatic

Manuals unscrew counterclockwise like a regular nut or bolt.

Auto's have a C-clip that pulls out from the front of the shifter.

It is a manual. I will try to force it off.
