Weight reduction is over rated. I didn't gain anything when I pulled my spare and jack and such on my car. I've ran quicker with everything in it.

Seems like a lot of loss (ALL of your interior + other stuff) for very little gain (300lbs or so?). That guys talking about getting a carbon fiber dashboard. c'mon... with the cost of that carbon fiber dashboard you could have done something to the motor and gotten more out of it.

not really impressed with that list, I have seen some other ones that are much more detailed. There are a few good pointers there though

I like weight reduction, when kept within reason. I'm hoping for 3200lbs on my car. Aluminum SBC FTW!

decent list, but you have to go overboard to really make a difference. if it was strictly race, then yeah it would do, but not for my daily driver. once i get myself a 12 second time slip, i probably wont race much anymore and i can start focusing on the looks of the car.
