  • Front Grille Removal

How do you take off your front grille? Cuz I got some plans to do to it and was wondering how lol.

Also so I dont need to make another topic. My mirror paint is all screwed up so Im going to need to take that off sand and paint..any certain kind of paint I should use to paint my mirror black? I used krylon for the inside..but that was plastic.

While your at it you should remove them both and try to match them to the body color, I think that looks much better.

yea, "blended mirrors" as GM calls them, dont look good when the colors dont blend lol.

What exactly do you mean by the grille? 98+ grilles can be removed, but the grille is part of the front bumper cover on 93-97s

You'd have to take the bumper off. There is no grill on the 93-97 bodystyle, it's just the bumper and all one piece.

But you can get an aftermarket grille to throw on over it, but 93-97 stock grille is not removal unless you cut it out of the bumper cover, and that's might be taking it too far for you, but not for our resident camaro mad scientist!!

You can probably take it to a bodyshop or a paint shop and get them to match it for you. Do you want to paint them yourself, or have it professionally painted?

Color match the mirrors like Joel said, that would look pimp on your car.

Well I wanted to do it myself..wouldnt it be pricey to get it painted by professionals?

if you get just the mirors it shouldnt be that bad of a price but i would sugest you do the preping your self, all you half to do is sand it down then, take a reel fine sandpaper like 1000 grit or even higher and get all the scratches from the other sand paper out. that would save you some money.

me personaly, i have had a lot of compliments on my mirrors but that might be because the whole top of my car is black. the only thing that i want different about my paint is the door handles there black right now and i whant them teel so they dont stick out as mutch.

im not sure what color yours are but if there black that might be another idea for you.

please excuse my spelling... i went to a cathlic school.

yeah, i love my black mirrors aside from the fact that they're all knicked up.

Well your black mirrors sort of go with your cars theme Brian so its obivious why you like them.
