The factory body kit on a 4th gen camaro. It can't be that hard to take off but is there any perminate holes/marks? Atleast that you can see from the outside of have to be repaired. Also, is there any interest in anyone buying one?

I think all you'll have are a couple holes in the inner fender down at the bottom in each wheel well as for the front and back i think all the wholes are unseen.sigpic

i dunno if the 98+ are different than mine, but mines realllllly simple to take off but there are a lot of holes that the brackets are rivetted onto the body, if i took mine off i think you would see all of them, so i would never take mine off, but if you fill them or something.......

on my 02 i there are brackets all over the place riveted in such as the rear bumper cover. after take off the appearance package, then you would need to remove the brackets and I would assume you would see some holes along with normal wear around such spots from dirt and other buildups. i am a fan of the kit, so i would never take it off

I'm not a fan of the 4th gen kits. 93-97 or 98-02. Just my .02 though. Everyone has their own taste but I found a smoking deal on a 96 Camaro but it has the kit and the only place I'd be driving a Camaro with a body kit is home to tear it off. I'm mostly interested in if there are going to be perminate holes or really common spots where the body kit wears through the paint. Even if it is I don't see that being to big of a problem. The car was Resprayed winter of 2005 and only seen 1,800 miles last summer.2005 Yamaha R6

The front and rear bumper covers are the easier parts to fill. No welding is required, just some bumper repair and a little time.Nick H.

Yeh, didn't even mention the bumpers cause they're so easy. It's the holes on the side rocker panels that suck. Personally, for the trouble to remove them I would just keep them... especially because the RS kit kicks ass.- Brian Meissen
