Does anyone know if the lock cylinders are the same for doors and t-tops? can I buy door lock cylinders and use them in the t-tops?

I don't think so...I believe the T-top key is much shorter than a door key, but could be wrong.

MattODoom will likely know for a third gen.

That is a very interesting question.
I have never had to replace one, but I am curious what you find out, because someday I might have to replace one myself.

Nope, Doors and t-top use the same key. But lock cylinders are different.

IDK, but if you find out, let us know! I need a whole new set of locks for my car. I have to reach over from the pass. side to unlock the driver's door. . . and the pass. lock is starting to go bad. . . and I'm missing one lock cylinder for the T-Tops. lol

Do you know if they charge the typical dealer 5 to 10 times more than the autoparts store cost.

It would really suck to have to pay $100.00 per lock.
