  • what color for interior

i was thinking about painting some of the interior like the shift plate thing and some of the dash trim.

at first i wanted to paint it teel the same as the car but it seems imposible to find anything even close to it. so now i am stumped as to what color would look good in my car.

the car is teel with a black top and the inside is all black whith black lether.

so what color do you guys think i should paint it?

hear is some pics to give you a beter idea of what the interior looks like.

please excuse my spelling... i went to a cathlic school.

for you I'd say hot pink. Look at the duplicolor, they should have a factory color match for your teal.Wash everything with dish soap especially if you like to use armor all (after painting throw the armor all where it belongs in the trash it just detroys plastic anyway)

ha ha funny, actualy one of the reasons i wanna paint it is because of the armor all, if i dont use it my shift plate has like a white tint to it i think that stuff took the color away. i dont use that anymore i use tire butter now.

you don't want to use any of that crap on the interior, the white is the solvents being trapped (plastic never cures, it will let solvents escape for 100 years or more)

If you don't go with teal just do a nice blue, since you already have the blue floor mats.

well my uncle is the one that would do any painting on my car(scence i only half to pay for the paint) and he said that he is not going to change the color of my car but he will respray it the same color and put on black stripes for me.

if he would have painted it black and blue for me i was going to call it the bruser cruser. 8)

at first i didnt like the color of my car but it grew on me.

Yeah painting the entire car a different color is a hell of a lot more work than respraying but black would definatly give you a lot more second color opions rather than teal. I'd say keep it teal and black and get your seats embroidered, I love mine and its not too expensive either. Then you can remove your back seats and build a custom sub enclosure and do teh black stripes or something similar.

Personally, I'd recommend ditching and never going back to anything "Type R" as that's for Hondas. You want "Z28" or "SS" On a more serious note, what about smoothing parts and painting a glossy black? Might be a very subtle change.

Why are people afraid of complete color change? The first thing everyone said to me (because the body work is obvious) was keep the car black, I was going to change it to a solid white, I think all white cams looks excellent. I will be going to candy paint Triple Black with the blue 35th Anniversary stripes

Not scared but if you want it done right you have to sand the engine bay, door jams, and everywhere in between. Just takes more time and its a lot easier to keep the same color. Gloss black would also look very nice IMO but like Meissien said the Type R shit has got to go.
