Anyone know a place that can re-chrome wheels or at least make them shine again? I saw something on tv, where a shop acid dipped wheels and then dipped them in chrome or whatever and they came out looking like new. Id like something similar in the west michigan area...

if you're willing to scrub, MAAS metal polish creme or several other types of tarnish remover (Brasso, etc.) will bring a great shine back to chrome, even badly corroded chrome. I'm in the process of doing my wheels this way. It's a lot of elbow grease but they look great when you are done.sigpic

The process is so expensive that you'd be better off just buying new rims. Unless you're attached to those wheels, new is the way to go.
