Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Ok so after more planning and money work, it would come out a lot smarter to just buy a Aftermarket hood for the repairs. I want to get a WS6 Ram Air Hood, do you guys know of any companies that do good work and the prices are reasonable?
I've heard a lot of good things about VFN Fiberglass.
Get a carbon fiber one. Weight savings! and you can still get it painted.
The Chevy Camaro was built with a single purpose in mind which it executes flawlessly...Going very very fast in a straight line until your hair catches on fire.
I know somebody said it first, but a Firehawk Raptor hood would look really good on your car.

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.

I wanted to get the Raptor hood also but you always have to worry about fitment issues on the aftermarket hoods, GM replacements hoods are always the best fit but they will cost ya, also you could get the Firehawk hood but that would run ya about $1400 for the hood and you would most likely have to get it right through SLP, VFN makes great hoods but u have to wait i think 6-8 weeks for them to make a hood for ya because i think they moved into a smaller building or something??
+1 for VFN. Also, on ebay there's a company, Fiberglass Fabricators Inc. That's where I got my hood from, it took them slightly longer because they were new and had to make it, but I still got my hood in great shape and I feel fitment was great.
Well, I've called pretty much every junkyard/shop in the area and none of them have any hoods, they offered to order them but there not sure how long the shipping wait would be.
I emailed a few top aftermarket hood sellers on ebay about in stock and shipping info so i'm just waiting on that for now. I would really like to get a hood shipped out Mon or Tuesday to me.
I don't know how good you are with fiberglass but lately i've been finding damaged fiberglass hoods on ebay, and it's not that hard to reapair them just some resin and a little bit of chop matt. Well good luck man, You could always look into an aftermarket ws6 hood. I know that auto body complete out of flint has some good aftermarket parts, good fitment, and quality. Well hope everything works out.

I have the SLP H.O hood on my car and I love it. Its more of an aggressive look than the normal WS6 hood. I got it form Afterthoughtauto.com for like 650 then it was a little over 700 with shipping if I remember right. Check it out you may like that hood.

Hi!
I heard a lot of bad things about the fiber hoods, that they never fit.
I orderd one from Classicindustries.com in steel. A cowl hood but i dont know if they have that model you want in steel.
