  • Put the new nose on

Well since it was so nice out yesterday, I decided to put my new bumper cover on. It turned out to be more of a task then I expected, since when I pulled the old cover off I found out the passenger side of the steel bumper itself was flattened from the impact with the 4wheeler. So Andy and I tried heating it up and prying it out with a pry bar, jacking it up and jumping on it, raising with a engine hoist but nothing worked. Finally we moved it enough to fit a axle in it and attached a steel pipe to the axle and pryed it back into shape. Its not perfect but it will do for now. The lines arnt perfect and the front unibody seems a little twisted but Ill let the body guy worry about that. For now Im just happy that the car looks a little better. Now I just need a fender.

Huge improvement, congrats on getting it on! Gotta love doing the bumper covers... those screws that go into the bumper but go through a metal bracket always seems to rust together, so then you're twisting the metal bracket and the screw and it rips the plastic and UGH. Anyway, congrats!
