What ya need to do Steve is go to a bodyshop of someone you know and have them give you a quote for how much it would cost to get stock replacement parts, but then tell them that you'll supply the hood. So they'll do the insurance quote with what they normally charge to replace the hood, and then you just pay the difference for a new hood. A hood is a hood is a hood, so painting it shouldn't be that much different if you do a basic paint job and no stripes or anything fancy.- Brian Meissen

I may be of some help I have a Stock Flat hood in Storage it's my Original and it's already NBM. If your interested you can have it for like $175, hasn't been on the car since `99 so its in pretty good shape. I would just need a little time to dig it out of the storage unit.
I know your looking into a WS6 Hood and want something different just figured I offer up a Cheap alternative.
Also SLP has the original Firehawk hoods for sale now and since you need a bumpercover anyway you could get the formula hawk bumper cover as well

Brian thats pretty much exactly what turned out to happen, went up today and got all the quotes and i'll just be paying the difference in the hoods. SO all and all everything looks like its going to turn out for the better and i should have my car back soon! I can't wait! I'll make sure to update with some pics when i get her back!

Good the other "Formy" on here with be back on the road lookin nice, i actually have a Firebird hood sitting in my basement that's the same color of your car
