Doesnt matter what line of PPG he is using. That is a VERY good price. Specially if the guy does a good job. Thats awsome, and I cant wait to see it when its all done. I love a freash paint job!! Get pics b4 and after.
We use Omni ALL THE TIME. We buy wrecked cars, fix them, paint them, and sell them. DBU paint is a little better for Metallics because PPG's metallics are a little bigger. But we only use that is we have to blend a hard color to match. And we still use the Omni clear. Some ppl say it turns a little yellow after time. But we havent had any problems.sigpic

The only advantage i could see to pulling the engine and painting the engine compartment is the clear coat. Most cars come frome the factory without the engine compartment clear coated so if you do have the engine compartment clear coated it makes it much easier to clean, and much much shinnier. It's all up to you and the money your gonna put into it, but whenever i paint a car, i do all the jambs, and engine compartment. I don't do the underside of the car, becuase that's allot of money for an area your only going to see if you crawl under the car. Good luck sounds like a good price, i spent 1200 in PPG paint and Clear for my car. Using DBU paint and DCU 3000 clear. Nothing beats new paint
