  • Rice or Nice?

So I need to replace my tail lights this summer, Both are cracked pretty bad and this is part of my converting to LED bulbs project.

I was looking into aftermarket stuff.

What I really want is a set of Japanese Camaro taillights

But at $545 for a USED set, its not happening. Hell I could get a custom fabracating shop to make me a set for that.

The Regular ones are nice enough but If Im gonna Buy something I might as well see what else I can do.

    I found These on Ebay...

    SET ONE

I instantly cringe at the word "altezza" but actually I dont think they look THAT bad and they WOULD follow the Carbon fiber theme I have going (even if it is just an overlay). the other thing is that since going from tri-color down to only two I could put in a sequenceing turn signal tail light kit which might look cool. IM kinda torn...sometimes I think they'll look good , sometimes I think they will look ricey. And if its one thing I cant stand its a ricey camaro.

    Theres also these,

    SET TWO

The dual bubble thing kinda throws me on these though

I like the layout of these ones plus I could keep my tricolor look but the "carbon fiber" just plain looks like a sack 'o' butt. Maybe is I could find em without it .

    SET THREE

So what do you guys think???

          I dunno, Josh.

I don't think I'm sold on any of 'em.

Maybe it's just to radical a departure from what you have now.

But you're the only guy you have to keep happy here.

Personally I hate them and I'd only recommend you get them if you plan on covering them in nightshades but your opinion is the only one that counts here.

The title is Rice or Nice so I am voting that they are Rice.
But like many have said, it is about what you like and what makes you happy.
But please, please, don't pick set number three. They look like big insect eyes.

Agreed, you have to like them. I like the darker ones. Have you thought about getting tail light covers?

My brother in law, has painted tail lights black before. Just didnt know if you were looking for something different.

He mixes black paint in with the clear, And it comes out looking pretty good. Plus you can still see all the lights. But its like having the tinted covers on.

I like them but not on a green car. Red, Black, Grey, Yellow, maybe even blue but not green. I would do some blackouts if I were you or look into some import taillights, those would look nice on green.

I like the idea of replacing the stock ones cause they are kinda lame but I've yet to see any that I just "gotta have". That said, I'm on the "you have to drive it so what you like is what counts
