3rd gen dash replacement

i was just wondering how hard it is to swap out my cracked dash in my 85 ta for the one in my 89 formula parts car?

Its pretty simple. Your just swapping out the top correct? They took the top of mine off when they changed my speakers in the front. There's some screws on the under side, then there are some screws in the center where your defrost is. From the looks of it it seemed pretty easy.

yup just the top ill have to check it out right now its too cold and snowy

Its a cakewalk. Theres like 6 or so screws that go in from the bottom in front of the dash then 4 in the defroster slot.

It takes like 5 minutes to get off. I did it in less then 10 minutes a few weeks ago on a buddies car and I had to search out a #2 phillups and drink a labbats

I would check and make sure that the pin outs on the back of the inst clusters are the same. I did the swap and had to change a lot of the wires around in the plugs.

hmmmmmm didnt know the dash cover had anything to do with that i thought any year 3rd gen dash would work?

It's called the Dash Mat. Mine is cracked too.

just the tips of the corners on the ta are cracked the formula is in mint cond.
