My opinion is the first hood you showed is too rounded for the straight lines of a Gen3. But you should pick what you like. Here is a pick of my 84 Trans Am with it's 6" cowl hood.

The ram air is definitely a bit more unique than the cowls (no offense to the guys with cowls)
