  • GEN 5 leather seats in a 4th Gen

I have found a good set of front Gen 5 leather for a good price. What do you guys think about putting them in a 4th gen. Will have to fab up brackets for sure. Has anyone thought of doing this and know how much work it will be?

Can't give you any insight, but heck if it doesn't work just sell them!

I've seen lots of guys put them in 1st gens, so I can't imagine it would be too tough to put them in a 4th gen. Do you have the center console too?

      HEI distributors are pointless.

I am sure it will be possible but 4th gen seats have minimal foam on the seat base and the tracks are not that high.

I think it will be tough to install them and have the seat base at the same height.

I thought they were really thick too.

No I do not but I can get it, however the price tag was almost the smae as the seats.

Personally i think 5th gen seats would look bulky (they are...). But the major concern is seat height like brian said. Stock 4th gen seats have your ass on the floorboard... I had to fab custom brackets for my sport seats to get them low enough my head wasnt sticking through the ttop

In my last camaro, i just swapped in some T/A seats, as they have alot more lateral support, and bolted right up in place of the camaro seats.
