Try asking your doctor for a tint perscription next time you are in. Just say you are sensitive to sunlight, and find it inconvenient to always wear sunglasses. Make sure you just get a perscription/note and not a license endorsement (becasue then it is posisble to get in trouble for not driving with tint or sunglasses). Just be respectful if you get pulled over. Roll the windows down immediately and keep your hands on the steering wheel.

My eye doctor said i could get a script if i wanted to get tints. Maybe one day ill tint my side ones.

Before I tinted my Camaro a few years ago I asked the Police of cheif in Marysville what the law was. He told me there was no scale or anything but the back could be as dark as we wanted, but the front windows have to be see thru for cops safety. I still put 5% on my sides and got a fix it ticket even though I told the cop I'd peel it off right then and there. Oh well was like $30 I think.

Stupid ass court fee or something like that. Was a couple years ago. Maybe it didn't cost me anything. Maybe the $30 was for the ticket I got to prove I had insurance becuse my papers expired and I didn't have my new 1's yet since I was late on my payment.

They say that ignorance of the law is not excuse, but I think that ignorance it bliss.

yes fix-it tickets are no charge, all you do is strip the tint off, go to the local cop shop, tell a cop you had a defective equip./tint ticket and you took the tint off and you need the ticket signed, then a cop will come out and take a peek at your whip sign the ticket, then you take the ticket to your local courthouse, or where-ever the ticket was issued....and they give you a reciept saying you have no ticket or points or anything to pay

I had tried to get out of my 2nd ticket by taking the tint off but they said I couldn't do that and had to pay the fine no matter what and get the point on my license. I removed the tint after that as I couldn't afford more points.

weird, out of all my tint tickets, i've only ever had one that was the "obstructed vision" ticket where it's 2 points and $75 or something, it was because my windshield was tinted, so since it wasn't a fix-it, i setup a court date, went in, when i talked to the city attorney, i just played "dumb" and was like "well i took the tint off, and the officer said i wouldn't get any points? so i showed the officer my car and he said just make a court appt. and there would be no points" so the attorney was like "ok" and then we started BS'n about school and work, and he's like "well since your a fulltime student, i'll cut ya a break and cut the fine in half"

so i had the points removed, and the fine cut in half, and all the while i never even stripped my tint

If only I had a second red Camaro. I could get a fix-it ticket for tint, remove the plate and put it on the 2nd non-tinted Camaro, drive it up to the cop place and show that there's no tint on there that it has been removed, get it signed, then put the plate back on my tinted car and no retinting.
