good luck, you're gonna need a 40" wide roll of tint to cover that boheemith (sp?) and ontop of that...it's no walk in the park to get a piece of film that HUGE into the car with little dirt...we don't even carry tint large enough to do F-Body windshields, our tint comes in 36" and 24" rolls....the guy that used to tint at my work had to order a 40" roll of tint from the company just to do my windshield! major Pain in the rear...looks nice though, my ranger (dailey driver) ahs 20% on the sides and 35% on the windshield) i like having windshields tinted...really darkens up the car...the cops hate it though!

It's 6" on the sides and windshield. The rear window and if it's a 4 door the rear doors can be spray painted black if you want. I had 35% on my side windows of my 86 S10 and got nailed TWICE for tinted windows. This was back when it was a pointable offense ALONG with a fine and there was NO fix-it. You had to pay the fine and get the points. I nearly lost my license because of the points. I had actually been pulled over a 3rd time(1st time I was pulled over) and got let go after the idiots couldn't tell me specifically what the tint law was. They finally found it in their law book and showed me that it can only be 6" down on the sides and front but it seems like there was a % for the rears but I've never heard of anyone getting nailed for it. If you're a kid with tinted windows you WILL get pulled over I can guarantee it. If you're older they might let you slide. I'm not gonna chance it again even though they did remove the points for a tint ticket just before I was going to court about losing my license.

Matt, what size tint would I need to do a thirdgen windshield? Its quite a bit shorter then a 4g.

Well now I know where to go when I want it done. I'll make sure I mention to your boss that it was you that let me know that it can be ordered. Im sure he'll love you after that

Well I was more wondering if you had done it before. Grabbing a tape measure would be great and all but my windshield is 550miles away.

I saw a gay ford truck that had Red tint on the side windows. It at least was a red truck so it was still ugly, but could have been worse. Does the law apply to all tint in general or just the black? Cuz the red just looked gay, didnt look like it obstructed the view too much.

Oh my dad's work truck has tint on the sides. Not sure what %, maybe 20 IDK. He hasn't got pulled over or even looked at wierd by a cop. How old you are and what you drive def plays a part in whether or not you'll get pulled over.
