  • Is there anyone here that does light bodywork & possibly paint?

I am looking for someone who is experienced in fixing exterior body panels. The drivers side quarter panel on my Trans Am has a rippled dent caused by the previous owner that I'd like to have fixed & repainted. There is no rust that I know of & the dent doesn't need a patch panel. The gas door lid also needs replaced but I have a nice red one to go on it. At the same time I was thinking of having the car repainted a different color since I've had a lot of red cars and would love something different, but a red repaint is ok so it all matches. It has been painted once before but it's not show quality. I got a quote from a couple local shops and just to do the quarter (fix, prime, paint & install the gas lid) was $900. To repaint the whole car the same color (better than OEM paint but not show quality) was $5000. I'm looking for something a bit cheaper since the car is a driver, but it will be taken to various cruises & shows so I'm looking for something affordable but not mediocre like Maaco. Anyway is there anyone here that could do this or point me in the right direction? Any info will be highly appreciated! Thank you
