  • Powdercoating in Farmington area?

Trying to decide if I'm going to paint my intake manifold or get it powdercoated. Can anybody recommend any powdercoating places in the Farmington Hills area so I can get an estimate? Thanks

I'm thinking black for the intake manifold, silver for the throttle body...not positive on the valve covers yet. Suggestions?

so I just heard from the guy today, he can't take apart the throttle body to powdercoat it. What should I get coated instead? I'm thinking alternator...

Powdercoating the alternator holds heat in - you don't want that to be hot.

Since when?? I know a lot of people with p/c alternators never had an over heating issue

I'm assuming powdercoating holds in heat just as much as chrome plating does and it's a well known fact that chrome plating an alternator will (over the long term) shorten the life of the alternator due to heat.
