  • 6LE Overlay/Bezel Install

Wanted to get this done before the m&g, but it took 6LE 2 months to get my needles. They showed up on Friday and I didn't want to tackle this project on Friday night. Got it done today and I'm happy with how it turned out. Was going for a 04-06 GTO look. Thanks to Jim (blackbirddaddy) for the info on the leds. Those are probably my favorite change of the whole thing.

          I used:

          (5) WLED-CWHP6-AC for all my dash lights (cool white)
          (2) WLED-RHP6-AC for my turn signals (red)
          (7) T105-TW Twist lock buckets for lights

I think everything was around $40 shipped and I had them in about 2 days. LS1 guys use 8 lights and no buckets fyi.

Thanks Jon. It's amazing, the 6LE stuff is expensive, but the fitment and quality isn't as good as you would think it would be. This project was not nearly as simple as I thought it would be.

I have noticed that sort of thing with 6LE. The harness bar I have of theirs is different than other ones they have created. I pre-cut my interior panels based on detailed pictures someone else gave me, and it ended up being completely off!!

Just an FYI for those interested in led's, I used the green led for my signals and blue for my bright indicator...... OBNOXIOUSLY bright at night. I would not recommend. All other led's look great, even behind stock gauges!
                    Your gauges look great!

I had used these LEDs from Oznium on mine and they're really not bright enough:

Ryan, your set-up looks awesome! I especially like the bezel, it does give it that GTO look.
