  • Best Way to Clean Up and Polish Used Rims

Picked these rims up off a club member and would like to give them a quick clean.

What is the best way to proceed to clean up the rims a bit without stripping off everything and polishing.

    Suggestions?

the best way is to pay someone to do it.

If the clear coat is still good, I would try using wheel acid on them first. before sanding and polishing

after doing my wheel project paying someone the. $100-125 a wheel doesn't sound so bad now. But like Brian said if the clear is good they can be saved if the clear is bad or pealing then stripping you'll have to do.

I've never tried it myself but maybe that wonder ball would work on it?

I think you might have to strip the clear off those and sand the wheels.

Thanks guys...if the magic eraser doesn't work, I'll add strip and polish to the "to do" list

Try eagle 1 chrome wheel cleaner. I used it on some nasty ws6 rims I bought and they cleaned up well, but its harsh, so used lots of water.
