Looks great do you know the process he took painting that in a garage? How long did he let it sit without touching it? How many coats of clear are on it.

He let it sit for a couple of days and I believe he said there was 6 coats of clear coat. I'll ask and make sure.

Well the car had a crappy paint job on it that needed to be removed. I traded my old dune buggy and 900.00 cash to get it done. it was worth it! that was for paint, labor, everything!

Yup 6 coats is way overkill, plus typically the wait time to let the clear tack up before the next coat doubles.
1st coat
15 min wait
2nd coat
30 min wait
3rd coat
45 min...
You get the idea lol that would be a long wait!

Yes sir, and if you going to do more than 3 coats, you cant do it in one day. Your gunna have to sand it with 400-500, and then you can do a "flow coat". More than 3 coats will never cure. Im sure you know all this Mike.Originally posted by mcalus View PostYup 6 coats is way overkill, plus typically the wait time to let the clear tack up before the next coat doubles.

Thanks, I am asking for the obvious reasonsOriginally posted by Curt_irocz View PostYup, 2 is ok but imo, for sanding and buffing, 3 is nice, More than 3 is a no.
how much clear is that in terms of volume?
