Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I like semi-gloss black. But to do it right, it's just as much work as painting it body color. How often do you do work in the engine compartment? Semi-gloss black is usually much easier to touch up.
Personally I don't think gloss black would look good with any color car other than... gloss black.

94 Z28 - speed limit removed and shift points changed (previous owner did that,) tb bypass mod, cai, msd otvc wires, opti, and coil, pacesetter longtubes+3in ory all the way back to a flowmaster 40 (i know), a/c delete, z06 wheels 17x9.5+18x11.5 , ss spoiler w/leds, tints 20% in front 5% in back, halo projector and custom hid setup 10000k, purty motor paint, led fan switches (1 for each) custom interior (suede) and some carbon fiber and white leds, ttops, and 1600 watts in the trunk.
Back about 10 years ago I wanted to repaint the underhood on a 71 plymouth. I went to an auto paint store, they mixed up a quart and put it in spray cans. Light sanding then clean and paint. Looked fantastic. Matched perfectly. And this was on 30 year old paint, too.
Well i talked to the place that mixed that particular paint for the 94 ta and he said he can do a pint for under the hood. Black base primer with the scaribus over. Going to try and paint myself with a gun and all.
Also thought about black but looks like not favored much.not to bad to paint with engine in just take off what you can and cover everything that you don't want overspray on. if you go light on primer (just fixing chips) won't have to worry to much on hard to reach spots.

its black base with the gren and blue flake mixed with royal blue paint, engine bay is done just a chip here and there, scratches and stuff, plus the orig. painter screwd up along the fender edge and didnt finish it. so that is part of the fix. plus running all the fuel lines and wires under and in the back.
