  • T/A Hatch Fitment

I had my new next door come over today and we were talkin about my car, he used to have a 98 T/A that got totalled from the front, he told me he had the rear hatch from his car laying around, that he would sell it to me for $100!!! He said it's in great condition! Now my question is would it fit on my 2000 Bird? Does any body know if there the same dimensions?

i am pretty sure it will fit. i take it, it has the high rise spoiler. That will look very nice on that car.

1995 TA Sold. i sure do miss it though.

It will fit.. There shouldn't be any differences between the cars.

Actually i was thinking about doing the same thing, but i did come across a few issues. 1st was the Formula hatch is 76lbs and the T/A hatch is 88lbs, not sure if you care about the extra weight. 2nd was the pressurized risers that hold up the hatch are set to a certain pressure and they wont hold up the T/A hatch, another "no biggy" if you dont care. (unless your getting the risers also?) The T/A hatch will for sure look badass on our cars though. I dunno about you Sean but im sick of my hatch turning into a pool after i wash the car (or after a rain) its a huge PITA!! If i came across a deal on a hatch i would pick it up!! And yeah the 98+ bolt directly on.

Well i get some spots of water inside once in awhile, but i was talking about how the hatch spoiler turns into a bowl, and its seems to hold water.
