  • So that was a weekend wasted....

    Since I got the car back up and running (new opti, wires, plugs, fpr, etc....) I decided to do some underhood revitalizing. Sanded, masked, taped, primed, then shot a nice light coat of black on the shock towers. Looked good. Shot a second coat and called it a night on saturday. WOke up this morning to find out it was raining... crossed my fingers that it was dry enough not not hurt anything and low and behold - the paint cracked and looks like chit... means I'm going to have to sand it all back down and start from scratch. Damn it.

    if you look on most paint cans, the ambient temp needs to be around 70 degrees or warmer. We're not going to see that for at least a week.
    When in doubt, Whip it out !

          Yah well the weather didn't look anythign like rain on Saturday... I guess I should have watched the news. *sighs* I so sick of things going wrong on this car. My fault or not...
